NSI Solutions SL3 Floating Turbo Abrasive, 3", 1000 Grit

The NSI Solutions SL3 Floating Turbo Abrasive combines the proven abrasive formula of the original Rigid Turbos with a color-coded, semi-rigid plastic laminate and hook-and-loop attachment. The laminate helps the abrasive remain rigid as it wears, promoting a consistently flat polish, while the hook-and-loop connection provides enough float for forgiving operation.

Designed as part of the SL3 Quick Change System for stone fabricators and installers, this abrasive can be changed with a simple quarter turn. The system makes it easy to move between material-removal tools and polishing pads without repeatedly unscrewing cup wheels or removing hook-and-loop pads from a screw-on backer.

The wheel attaches to the 3" Hook-and-Loop Center Hub Backer, which locks securely into the standard SL3 Adapter. Using a separate backer for each grit creates a convenient quick-change polishing system.

Top Polishing

Floating Turbos are optimized for top polishing granite, quartz, marble, and other types of stone. The hook-and-loop backer allows the abrasive to float, while the semi-rigid laminate keeps it running smoothly and flat. This design produces less chatter, reduces the skill needed to create a quality top polish, and provides color coding for easy grit identification.

Edge Polishing

The smooth-running Floating Turbo is also ideal for flat-edge polishing. Its hook-and-loop attachment makes the wheel easy to control, while the plastic laminate helps prevent haziness and the rippled finish commonly left by resin pads. The wheel produces a consistent shine across the entire edge.
