ICON by K-Bond Knife-Grade Adhesive

ICON by K-Bond Knife-Grade Adhesive is a high-adhesion, specialized polymer-blend adhesive designed for natural stone, engineered stone, quartz, ceramics, porcelain, glass and dense surfacing materials.

Its colorless, translucent-clear formulation is well suited for light and white substrates and can be tinted to coordinate with the surrounding material. The paste consistency is designed to resist sagging on vertical surfaces.

Mixing and Application Directions

1. Make sure the bonding surfaces are clean, dry and free from foreign substances.
2. Measure the required amount of ICON adhesive.
3. Measure the appropriate amount of BPO hardener. The supplied directions specify 2% to 3% hardener, with 2% recommended for the best color and cure.
4. Carefully mix the adhesive and hardener together.
5. Scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing container to ensure thorough mixing.
6. Apply the mixed adhesive before gelling begins.
7. Do not use the product after it begins to gel.
8. Avoid overworking the adhesive, as this may cause it to become thinner.

Cleanup

Clean tools and application materials with acetone or denatured alcohol.
