Hot-Stuff Special T Clear Honey-Viscosity Instant Glue, 2 Oz. (HST-4T)

Hot-Stuff Special T is a super-fast cyanoacrylate adhesive used for retouching small scratches and repairing chips in most types of stone. Its low-flow, honey-like viscosity provides a thicker consistency for stone repair applications. The adhesive applies clear and dries completely clear.

Part of the Hot-Stuff product family used in shops and on jobsites, this instant glue has been available for 39 years. It can be used with a separate accelerator to regulate setting speed. Although the adhesive will eventually cure without an accelerator, curing may take hours when it is left exposed on a surface. An accelerator allows the glue to cure within seconds so excess material can be trimmed immediately when needed.

Applications

• Retouching small scratches in most types of stone
• Repairing chips in stone surfaces
• Filling chips in granite countertops
• Bonding granite during countertop fabrication

Application Information

To repair a scratch, apply enough Special T to cover the damaged area, apply the accelerator and immediately remove any excess with a razor blade. Lightly polish the repaired area with extra-fine steel wool or a buffing pad.

When filling a deep gap or countertop chip with NCF Stone Accelerator, apply the glue in layers approximately 1/16" thick. Allow each layer to harden before applying the next layer to prevent the surface from curing while the adhesive underneath remains soft.

Accelerator Information

• NCF Quick Accelerator (#16902): Provides faster curing but may discolor granite if over-applied.
• NCF Stone Accelerator (#16913): Cures significantly slower than NCF Quick Accelerator but is less prone to discoloring granite when over-applied.
