Its specialty core consists of two hardened steel sheets with a thin copper sheet laminated between them, helping dissipate the high noise levels commonly associated with this application.

Designed for porcelain fabrication, the blade combines efficient cutting performance with reduced noise to help fabricators save time. Alpha Professional Tools has also extensively tested the Silencer III and determined that it is suitable for cutting crystallized glass.
