The AIR-850 features a 5 Hybrid Composite Vane motor design along with updated components intended to improve power, durability and operator control compared with previous Alpha AIR models. Its redesigned splash guard helps improve visibility while reducing water spray, while the updated end case provides improved air and water control.

Additional features include a silicone gear head boot, enhanced spindle shaft, water quick coupler with an integrated shut-off valve and full-size service wrenches. The supplied 15-foot all-weather air and water hoses are rated for temperatures from -40°F to 140°F.
