Product Description
Grip Bright Bond Knife Grade and Flowing Adhesives
Get strong, fast-curing bonds without darkening or staining light-colored surfaces.
Need a High-Strength Adhesive for White and Light-Colored Materials?
Grip Bright Bond is a premium, low-color vinyl ester stone adhesive designed for natural stone, quartz, porcelain, ceramic, and ultra-compact surfaces. Its ultra-light translucent appearance makes it an excellent choice for white and light-colored materials where traditional adhesives may create visible bond lines or discoloration.
Engineered for high adhesion and ultra-fast curing, Grip Bright Bond provides greater strength than standard polyester stone adhesives. It is available in both knife grade and flowing consistencies, giving fabricators the versatility to complete seams, miters, laminations, rodding, edge repairs, installations, and general interior repairs.
The knife grade formula maintains its shape without sagging, making it ideal for vertical applications, miters, and edge work. The flowing formula spreads easily into narrow spaces and across flat surfaces, making it well suited for laminations, rodding, and other applications requiring consistent adhesive coverage.

Mixing and Application Instructions
- Make sure all bonding surfaces are completely clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, wax, sealer, or other contaminants.
- Measure the appropriate amount of Grip Bright Bond adhesive.
- Add hardener at a ratio of approximately 1%–3% of the adhesive amount.
- Carefully mix the adhesive and hardener together until the color and consistency are uniform.
- Scrape the sides and bottom of the mixing cup during mixing to ensure the components are thoroughly combined.
- Apply the mixed adhesive within the recommended 4–6 minute working time.
- Allow the adhesive to become fully tack-free and sufficiently cured before machining or placing the bond under stress.
Always test the adhesive and hardener ratio under current shop conditions before beginning a critical application. Temperature, material temperature, and the amount of hardener used may affect working and curing times.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Grip Bright Bond used for?
Grip Bright Bond is used for bonding, laminating, seaming, miter fabrication, rodding, edge repair, installation, and general repairs on natural stone, quartz, porcelain, ceramic, and ultra-compact surfaces.
What is the difference between knife grade and flowing adhesive?
Knife grade adhesive has a thicker consistency that stays in place without sagging, making it ideal for vertical surfaces, miters, edge repairs, and general bonding. Flowing adhesive has a thinner consistency that spreads and penetrates more easily, making it better suited for laminations, rodding, and narrow bonding areas.
Why is Grip Bright Bond recommended for light-colored materials?
Its ultra-light translucent color helps minimize visible adhesive lines and reduces the risk of discoloration when working with white quartz, light granite, porcelain, and other pale materials.
Is vinyl ester adhesive stronger than polyester adhesive?
Vinyl ester adhesives generally provide higher adhesion and improved bonding performance on dense and engineered materials compared with standard polyester stone adhesives. Grip Bright Bond is formulated for demanding fabrication and installation applications where strength and fast curing are important.
How much hardener should be added?
Use approximately 1%–3% hardener by volume. The exact amount may need to be adjusted based on the temperature, desired working time, and application conditions.
How quickly does Grip Bright Bond cure?
Grip Bright Bond has a working time of approximately 4–6 minutes, becomes tack-free in about 10–20 minutes, and can typically be machined after 20–30 minutes. Actual curing times may vary based on temperature and hardener ratio.
Can Grip Bright Bond be used outdoors?
No. Grip Bright Bond is recommended for interior use only.
